Mitchells & Butlers'

The JTS Partnership is the principal planning consultant to Mitchells & Butlers Retail Ltd, the restaurant and public house arm of the former Bass Group. In August 2006, Mitchells & Butlers Retail purchased over 140 public houses from the Whitbread Group, all of which have had to be converted to the Mitchells & Butlers brand. The JTS Partnership, working in close conjunction with the Mitchells & Butlers' architect team, is in the process of securing the necessary planning permissions and listed building and advertisement consents for many of these conversion projects.

The Carisbrooke-Essex Partnership

The JTS Partnership is the retained consultant to The Carisbrooke-Essex Partnership, which is a joint development vehicle between Essex University and the Carisbrooke Group. Having secured the allocation of university land, in the Local Plan, The JTS Partnership has obtained planning permission for a mixed use scheme comprising a Research Park and Business Incubator Centre, 200 dwellings and 1300 student bed spaces, together with related hotel, leisure and retail facilities. The JTS Partnership is currently working towards the discharge of conditions.

Women@thewell

Having pursued all the necessary planning permissions, listed building consents and building regulation approvals, the Building Surveying team at The JTS Partnership is currently project managing the £1m conversion of a former listed hotel in central London into a Women’s Retreat Centre.

Brentwood Roman Catholic Diocese

The JTS Partnership is working with the Brentwood Roman Catholic Diocese on a major project to amalgamate separate infants and junior school sites to create a single site primary school. The proposal includes a 40-flat development in a town centre location that will fund the school redevelopment proposals on a site that is partly within the green belt. Planning permission was granted in late 2007 through a successful appeal, with a partial award of costs against Brentwood Borough Council.

Derbyshire County Council and Birch Housing Plc

The JTS Partnership recently secured planning permission at appeal for redevelopment for residential purposes of the Lower School site of the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School at Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The proceeds from the sale of the land will be used to fund the expansion at the Upper School site.

Bewley Homes Plc

The JTS Partnership is advising Bewley Homes on the redevelopment of an existing employment site for an 82-suite care home and 21 houses. The scheme has recently been to public inquiry, with the Inspector’s decision expected soon.

Village Developments Limited

The JTS Partnership is promoting a major mixed-use development for offices and residential, within a 17-storey tower block, in the centre of Sheffield.
