Conservation and heritage
It is a criminal offence to undertake work to a listed building or a scheduled ancient monument without the necessary consents first being in place. There are also tight planning controls on development in conservation areas. The JTS Partnership has a wealth of experience in dealing with such issues and in liaising with the relevant statutory bodies. We provide advice about:
- the need to obtain listed building/scheduled ancient monument/conservation area consent
- listed building appraisals
- listed building/scheduled ancient monument/conservation area consent applications
- design and access statements and listed building appraisals
- enforcement
- submission of appeals
- preparation of evidence to support appeals
- expert witness
